Include Your Memories! |

Thanks for taking the time to contribute! We're particularly interested in your anecdotes and memories of family members so that this site doesn't stay simply a dry list of names and dates. Please feel free to write or attach to an email whatever you have: pictures, documentation, suggestions on where to look for information -- whatever!
Anything you send will help -- and anything you write to us will be right! The neat thing about putting together a family's history is, everybody's memory is absolutely correct. There are few facts that are check-able when relating 'family lore' or anecdotes of a 'happening' that seems to be typical of a parent, aunt or grandfather, so there are none that are "wrong". We aren't making a documentary "for the record" that claims more than our remembering others and ourselves as best we can. We are taking snapshots of ourselves. Memory edits out "objectivity" and just keeps what's important to each of us at the time. We all know this. We recall events because they made an impression on us, and how we remember them is what makes us unique. The images and descriptions of or recollection only sets down the "ring in the tree" of what was important about our times as we lived them. There's no "objective truth" there. There's only what we remember. So, give it a try. And thanks for making this, at least in part, your project too,
ps: Contact me via Email at roger @ templeton.net if you have GEDCOM files you'd like to share or exchange and we'll arrange the transfer.
